VAC PUMP PULLEY
My Vac pump pulley seized up and snapped the belt on my 1997 F-350 with a 7.3 liter diesel engine. i bought a new belt but im not sure how to replace my pulley and or what part to order because every auto parts store i talked to didnt sell the pulley just the Vac pump with the barring for the Pulley. Please give me some advice, thanks guys

When the vacuum pump on Dad's truck failed, we bought a new one and then had to borrow the special pulley puller to get the pulley off of the old pump and onto the new one. It's not the pulley you need to replace it's the pump. That is where the seized bearings are.

I don't really recall it being that difficult. It was a long time ago though.
I do remember that we had to get the special tools to remove the pulley and press it onto the new pump. We borrowed them from the parts house, I don't remember which one. It is a special Ford only tool.
