i think i may have found the problem, now almost everyone is bent.. but the first cylinder on drivers side the rocker was so loose the push rod wasent doing nothing, i think thats where the miss was!
what would cause them all to bend? someone over revving it???
i have pulled the motor and cut this truck up already i was just swapping the valve covers over to another idi and noticed it, what are the chances of just putting some extra pushrods in and callingit good? do you guys know id these engines are solid lifters or hydralic and do you know if the are roller lifters?

well it will either go in the superduty or my 80s 4x4 ford van, but im leaning towards the superduty since it has a bad low end knock in its 5.4 and a broken trans and tcase, i wanna just pull the works, and throw the idi in it with a c6 for now since i think it was just these pushrods all along. look like at least 2 valves were never even opening, this is a remanufactured diesel from dealers diesel in minnesota. super clean inside.
