Brake Help

Ok last December I replaced pads, rotors, and fron calipers. I just checked my brakes and the rear drivers side rotor is grinded apart on the inside. This is the second time this has happened. Has anyone had this problem? Its like the caliper on the rear is grabbing too hard and tearing apart the rotor. Help

I agree with the issue of stuck pins in the caliper. When they are removed the bores need to be perfectly clean and the boots in good shape. The pins should be replaced if there is any corrosion or pitting on them. Use a good high temp synthetic brake lube when reassembling the caliper and pads. Rotors are pretty tough. They will usually be the symptom of an issue and not so often the problem. If the caliper cannot slide freely, there will be excessive wear on the rotor because the pad cannot release properly.

I agree, do a search for it first. Here is Guzzle's page though, he does the front pins in here.

I have never looked at my rear pins, I assume they are the same as the front...
