2 Issues...

I have an 06 f250... The first issue i'm having is here lately it's becoming harder to get out of park (running or not). I tried to do some research on it, but i didn't really find anything clear. My taillights work, etc. I am assuming the brake switch at the top of the pedal? I saw in a thread there were 2 switches and just wanted to be sure. If so, do you guys know the part number?

My second issue is i noticed fuel dripping from the upper fuel filter. I haven't taken anything off yet, but it appears to be leaking out of one of the hard lines going into the side of the housing. I am guessing that they are just o-rings?? I plan on taking it apart this weekend, but i would like to round up all the necessary gaskets and whatever else needed so i can stop the leak! My fuel mileage would appreciate it, as well as i am tired of smelling it in the cab!! lol

Anyways thanks guys! I love to just poke around on this site and just soak up the tons of great information and write-ups all yo guys do!! This is one of the few forums that i visit where people who have issues actually post up the outcome of the problems they had and what fixed it. Kudos to you guys!!

I can't help with the transmission thing but I would suspect your fuel leak is from the regulator cover gasket not the fuel line. The fuel line o-rings very very very seldom leak. I've reused them many times. Here are the part numbers for the gasket and also the blue spring upgrade kit, which I recommend you do while you're in that far. You'll also need a T-27 torx bit.

Fuel pressure regulator kit 3C3Z-9T517-AG 1843065C98 or
6E7Z-9C165-B 1854267c94 (no cover)
Regulator cover gasket: 3C3Z-9C065-AA

The regulator is the housing where the filter is and the gasket you are referring to is the o-ring that the plastic cap screws down on to? Also, if i'm in the right spot, the spring below the filter inside the housing what i need to change to the blue spring? What is the benefit of the blue spring?

Sorry for sounding like a newbie... if it was on my cobra, i would know exactly, but i haven't really had any issues with the truck, so i am stumped!

Here's a picture. No need to remove the filter. Page 30: Fuel Supply System

I personally remove the fuel return line and it's easier to remove the top radiator hose but not necessary. The spring is behind the cover which takes a T27 to remove.

The pictures are great thanks! Is there any pressure that i should be aware of on the system when i do this? Also, i'll definitely do the blue spring, but what does it change/better? Just trying to understand what i do so i can help someone else in the future.

Here this may help.

Here you go this is a good post by Band Member on the fuel pressure reg spring install over at the Dieselstop.
Fuel Regulator Upgrade w/ Pictures - Diesel Forum - TheDieselStop.com
The only hard part is the hose is in the way, you need to get a turkey baster a new one and suck out all the fuel from the upper filter houseing that way you don't have a mess. After you are done you have to cycle the key 3 time 30 sec. each time to prime the fuel system. Mine before i installed the kit i had 50 lbs at idle and 44 at WOT and that is to low, installed the kit now 62 idle and 58 WOT, low fuel pressure will kill injectors and over 70 lbs may blow injector o-rings.

This makes me excited just reading this stuff! Thanks dieselpop!!

Now i just need to get someone to agree with me on my trans issue to be as simple as the brake switch keeping it from coming out of park... When i drove it last sunday night, it took me about 5 mins to get it out of park finally! I just kept pumping the brake and pulling it like i normally would..
