I have a 1971 F-100 Ranger XLT, the problem is that I also have a busted Borg Warner T-85-N. Does anybody know where I could buy a new one and/or track down replacement parts? I am engaged and my fiancé is hoping to drive away in the truck, any help is appreciated.

T-85N: Borg Warner 3 speed M/T with overdrive. Optional on 1965/71 F100's. When you say it's busted, what does that mean?
Need much more info before I can answer your questions, as it could be electrical related (defective solenoid, relay, kickdown switch).
Or worn 2-3 syncro blocker rings, causing the shift lever to pop out of gear, or...
It may have nothing to do with the transmission...if the shift lever is binding up.
I'm very familiar with this trans, as I owned a 1965 F100 with it from March 1965 thru November 2009.
