Hi,
Just bought a 2011 reg cab short bed XL 3.7. I have the manual transfer case and was wondering if anyone has removed the plastic cup holder console that surrounds it so someone can sit in the middle. If so what did you do with the rubber boot. Second, does anything have do be done to unlock front hubs after using four wheel drive like backing up two car lengths. I am used to the switchable hubs on the F350. Lastly I called both Husky and Weathertech and they both said their mats won't work on trucks with manual transfer case, but looking at the pictures it does not look like they come up that high on the driveline hump. From what could gather Husky has those little fingers on the underside, but Weathertech does not. I have no posts to hold the mat, but I could just use a little velcro. Thanks.
Nice truck someone has some good tastes buying a base model truck. Exactly what i would have done. Any possible way you can cut the mats with like xacto knife or something.
That's what I am thinking. I can't think of any other reason they would not work. By the way thanks for the compliment, by the looks of your signature your pretty frugal as well.
swanee, I am drawing a blank here. Is there a reason that the non carpet rubber mat in the XL needs to be covered? And by the way, I drive an XL myself so that I have the rubber mat flooring and the easy to just wipe off seats.
Well if nothing else I want to keep from wearing a hole in the floor with my right heel. I have found just taking out the mat and slapping it against a tree once in a while keeps the floor clean enough in between real cleanings.
