I have a 2005 F-550 with 6.0 no start with out help (either, Gas). I have ICP of 600-1800 cold, ICP vt .80-1.0 cranking, FICM 48 vt., IPR 16 KOEO, and IPR 80% cranking then drops to 20-23% after start. Passes buzz test and KOEO test, Passes KOER test after started, everything is there except, there is a delay or doesn't sync. unless you pop some either in it. As soon as I get engine sync, I get FICM sync. Replaced wires from CPS to ECM, Did Continuity test as well.
I'm using the MODUS scan tool, and everything seems to be there except a delay in getting sync. Replaced CKS and CPS as well, out of precaution and being at a loss. Also 100-125 Cold cranking RPM's. Low oil preasure is 75 cold. Fuel is there did not guage though, runs great once it gets started. Also same problem starting truck after it has warmed up. No sync
Replaced the wirring to the CPS rather than dig into the harness. Sleeved the wire with plastic flex line and isolated it from the rest of the harness. needless to say this did not change anything. I am getting the same result.
first you need 150 rpm to light iirc min spec. start with checking the battereis. disconnect the gpcm and see if that helps.
laod test the wires from the ficm to the pcm as well. can be either. I would suggest load testing with a high beam lamp on all related circuits pcm and ficm.
remove the crank sensor and inspect tone ring with bore scope.
I did replace the battery cable, it was in poor shape. What would I be looking for on the tone ring? Has a new starter, old one was only cranking 56 rpm. Sounds like I need to get my cranking speed up, first then go from there.
Update and question, Been foolin with this truck today, noticed 99% engine load when triing to crank the engine (60-79 rpm). I do not recall seeing an engine load that high before. Could this be something in the transmission not releasing and causing a drag on the engine? Tryed cranking with GPModule disconected and there was no change in cranking rpm's. Automatic transmission in this truck, any thought's with this info?

I would say no unless you had some kind of MAJOR catastrophic failure in the convertor and trans. at the same time.
Checked transmission shift signals, Should be N/A 1 2 3 4 5. I get 1 1 1 3 2 1. P N OD D 3 2 1, Selector PID shows P R OD D 3 2 1. The signal is not matching the gear that the trans. is in. Signal says 1st gear at all times except the manual gears, (test parked with EM brake applied) Shows 1st gear in park or neutral (electric signals) Any of this make since?
Otherwise a shot of either and the rpms go up it sync's and starts right up. If my hair was longer I'd pull it out.
