Buying a 93
Im buying my first diesel maybe. Its a 93 4x4 5 speed with 210,000 miles on body and rebulit clutch (so I am told). New crate motor 7.3 idi with 5k miles. Banks put it in and put there turbo kit on it. Has 315/75/16 all terrains. Hillsburo flatbed. Its black and hasnt pulled much and has been mildly taken care of. Regular maintence has been done but someone liked to rev it up. It has 6 inch straight pipe leading to one stack. How much does it sound like it should cost?

3k sounds real nice for a 93 4x4 with 210k & a banks turbo to me.
f250 or f350? not that it matters much @ that price.either way is good.
if banks put the rebuilt engine in,one has to think its been properly sleeved when rebuilt.

What makes you think it liked getting reved up?
Why was the original engine replaced?
Is the new crate a bored out/sleeved?
Price seems about right.
Be sure to do a good search on here on Cavitation, coolant additives/SCA's before owning a 7.3

F250. He told me it was new..i didnt say it liked being reved I dont think..the dad bought it and gave it to his soon who im assuming blew the motor up so they got a new one..not sure if its been rebuilt going to look at it this week. Not that I know of I dont think its bored out..and isnt banks turbo like 2k?? I looked it up and it is? Thank ya guys

if it says "sidewinder" on it,than yes.actually you can get them for around $2500 without the exhaust.......i recently called banks.
however remember,it's not new,and i doubt you know its condition yet.however it's worth $ for sure,even if it needs to be rebuilt,the thing is installed and everything which is course is worth something to ya.
she's priced very nice.but im waiting to see the rusted out truck,or blown rear axle,lack of brakes,broken springs,shot front end,and other neglected stuff,thats gunna suck another 1500-2k from ya in parts after purchase
