Vacuum pump pulley

Does the vacuum pump pulley have a lock ring or is it just pressed on? Mine took adump and I bought a NAPA replacement only to find it did'nt have a pulley. Thanks

pressed. use a power steering pump pully tool. most stores have one

I had to replace my pump, the replacement came with the pulley already on. Year of vehicle perhaps?

Bolts First, then pulley

When installing... at least put the bolts in the pump holes first, before installing the pulley. At least one of the bolts won't go on with the pulley in place. You can mount the pump then install pulley (easiest), or put the bolts in the pump holes, then mount pulley, then mount pump. Pulley first will cause you to cuss then take the pulley off.

OK, thanks. Saw that bolt problem. I've been thru a lot of cusssing as I worked on airplanes and some of those are stupidly designed. One is a Cessna 210. The oil filter is nearly impossible to remove. Thanks
