99 f250 5.4 range sensor
I need to get a range sensor for my f250. I assume that is what it is called. It is on the side of the trans and it has a large plug that goes into it. Where can I get one??? I have searched online and I even plugged in my vin number to the ford motorcraft site and I cannot find one!

Almost any parts store would have it. It's call the Transmission Range Sensor (TRS.)
When I looked it up at Official Ford Parts Site | Buy Motorcraft & OEM Ford Parts Online | FordParts.com they call it an Auto Trans Gear Position Sensor.

Thats why!! I was searching the wrong thing! Ok so how do I take it off? I took both bolts out and it would not move out any I sprayed some PB on it but am i missing something?

there does not appear to be a nut on it. Im not sure how to explain what it looks like but it has like a slot that sticks out that you could get a crescent wrench on but I dont think it comes off??
