It wasn't that great--the big discount was if you used their credit for finance.
So at the end of the day that truck was really 34,800.
Hence why I walked out and went home in my old truck.
If they were going to sell you the truck for $31,800, and give you $30,000 for your truck, why didn't you just finance the $1,800 and pay it off in 3 or 4 months?

You should do like I did with the F-250. Took there cash on the Ford financing deal, then before the first payment was due I refinanced at my credit union a MUCH lower rate.
there may have been an early payoff penalty. I had one of those a few yrs back. you had to have the loan at least 1 yr or they charges some ridiculous % of the total value fee.
or, the OP didn't sign any paperwork the right way and the dealership tried to change #'s. Been there, done that. Luckily the way the law is, if they change the paperwork that is not in your favor, you can simply walk away.
