Well I got the axle bolted up to the frame. The issue that I am having is where does the track bar bolt up and i didnt realize the dana 60 used a different swap bar. Does anybody know were these bolt up at?
Assuming you're swapping from a D50 TTB, the track bar mounts to the cross member where the passenger side drop bracket was. From there it goes down to the axle underneath the passenger leaf spring.
its a 87 f-250 frame originally came with a 6.9 and was 2 wheel drive. When I bought the rolling chassis the guy converted it to 4-wheel drive, however, i believe he put a dana 44 twin i beam in because its the same front axle in my 90 f-250. I have a 1990 f-250 that Im doing a frame swap thats why I bought the 87. I bought the solid front axle and suspension from a 91 f-350 however I did not get the sway bar mounts that bolt to the frame. When I bought the frame it came with the steering linkage, track bar, and sway bar along with the springs.
The solid axle steering linkage is different than the ttb linkage. Also the ttbs don't have a track bar. And the spings are different too. The ttb springs have a negative arch and the f350 solid axle springs have a positive arch. You want everything from the springs down to be "F350" parts.
If the truck is stock height, I have a track bar bracket in my garage I'm willing to sell. If it's lifted then you will need an after market drop down bracket. I had to get one for my swap.
