Getting fed up!!

On my way home from work I had to hit the brakes for a red light and sure enough she pulled one way hard!! I knew what it was right away. I had yet another caliber lock up on me again! This is the fourth time I'm gonna have to do the brakes in a year on the front! Any idea what could be the root cause to it? I know I have big tires but there are plenty of guys running bigger tires than I am that have no problem. The fluid is clean and new. My braking habits are good I let off long before I have to stop to let the engine do the braking and I don't stomp on them ideas needed please

Are you sure its the calipers, not the slide pins or a collapsed line?

The slide pins still look and function the same as the day I put them in. I hate to sink anymore money into them but lines are the only thing I haven't done yet. I'm gonna put a set of ss lines on it and if it does it one more time the trucks going bye bye I can't afford to take a day off everytime this happens

My thought was slide pins too, breaking hard on one side and binding on the other making it pull. Is there any chance it could be a master cyl. or proportioning valve?

Check the slide pins again! And change the brake lines. If your calipers are new and the pistons free, problems should be gone.

I did check them because that was my first thought like it has been every time and they look and work like stated above like brand new all slide nice and easy. The only thing left is the lines so Ill put the ss braded lines on it in the next day or too.
As Whitee said could it be anything else?

I definitely think its the lines. When I had an F150, I had the same problem. A wise old man (pops) saved me a bunch of money by making me replace the lines first. Sure enough, they were collapsing. Best of luck.

I have seen lines fail and collapse internally causing a pressure hold to exist for a duration of up to 10 seconds before the pressure bleeds off, this will definatley act just like sticking slide pins but will have left no indications by the time you get it apart to look at it! Also they will not hold on every application at first, they are a real MF to trouble shoot make you think you are loseing your mind!

i think mine is the caliper...i parked it in the garage with the pass front siezed at 500pm...went back at 800pm to work on it and still seized up. slide pins are new and lubed...also loose. im getting new lines anyway...brakes are too important to screw around with

The last time this happened I was 5 miles from home. I had no choice but to get it home and when I got there I had smoke coming off the rotor I waited an hour or so and toar it apart got to the parts store about an hour after that and the caliber was still warm. New lines are gonna happen today I'm just gonna get the OE for now to see if that solves the problem and if it does I'll spend the money down the road for a ss set. My wife drives the truck once in a while and I'll be d***** if it's gonna happen again.

Last question. Does anyone know if I can use the OE lines or are they extended because of the lift? Its about the only thing I didn't do to the truck myself, previous owner
