Hey guys, I'm toying around with the idea of opening my own exhaust shop. To be clear, I won't be selling anything on FTE or over the web, not looking to drum up business. I'm just wondering what pricing looks like, as it's been so long since I've had someone else do exhaust work for me. I've done many of my own exhausts, and now have been doing a few friends' also. If you would, post up what you had done, what parts, and how much you paid.
if you want to open a business then you need to know what the local competition is doing ! prices are different all around the country so it will have no effect on what you are looking at ! you need to check with any and all local shops say within a 100 miles and see what they are charging ! the local shops also buy in bulk , are set up to buy in bulk ? that is where some of the profit comes from , adding 10%-40% or so on top of the product for resale then plus the labor !
I had it done on my old 88 had it done from Manifolds Back true duals Cats cut out Glasspacks put in and 3.5" tips that ran me 250 they did all the work and they provided all the parts everywhere else wanted like 350+
