If you come to Manhattan for the new car museum and bring the family, you may want to set aside a couple of hours to take in the Flinthills Discovery Center. It is neat for all, but kids like it.
The Manhattan car museum has history, it has Sonny and Cher's Matching Mustangs, Mario Andretti's Lamborghini, a car completely covered with corks from wine bottles, an old IH truck, the Kargoyle Herse that Motley Crew bought for a reunion entrance. Antique cars and newer sports cars.
Also, they haven't brought it to the front, but it has President Johnson's??? Presidential Limousine, but I don't know when it will be released to the public to view.
We watched the first episode of Shameless the other night. It is a twisted form of funny, and definitely not kid friendly.
Jamie and I got hooked on that early last year and really enjoyed the entire show. The language and adult situations become fairly obscene in parts, but I'm sure it's not far from a real depiction of Chicago's south side.
Julie watched "The Passion" last night because of Easter, and I stayed up for a while and watched with her, but got tired and went to bed. It was a busy, long weekend and I was worn out.
DID I ever tell you my "Passion Story"? I watched it in the theater the first time-- They spoke Aramaic through a majority of the movie-- then 1/2 way through they started speaking - "Roman" -- Italian---- I suddenly could understand what they were saying-- just poof-- I really and truly thought it was some kind of miracle-- then I realized-- DUH! They just changed and were now speaking a language I knew ---- What a goofball--- But for that briefest of seconds I thought - "wow--Why me- What am I to do with this profound gift?"
OK I took up your time with a silly self indulgent story-- Back to Your lives :-)
I watched the first section of it. I understand that they added more to it recently. I thought parts of it were pretty good, but honestly, I am not in any hurry to get back to it to watch the new parts.
I am still chipping away at Corner Gas, and on the last season of it, hoping to knock it out this week or next.
I started watching Bless This Mess on TV this weekend, and I think once things start rolling, it will be a weekly regular for me. I like it a lot so far.
I hope to start The Ranch over just in time to pick up the next season coming out in June.
Last night we took Sophia to Dumbo, I thought it was really pretty decent. Sophia liked it. I wasn't sure I wanted to go see it, but Julie coaxed me with the Dine in Theater's Bacon Ranch Burger... So I was happy until the burger was gone. LOL!
