Painting Plastic Side Step

Hi I was just looking to see if anyone has painted their factory plastic side steps. I also if you did paint them what type of paint did you use and what steps did you take to pant them? The thing Im worried about is that Im going to be steeping on it every day that the paint is going to rub right off.

A few coats of Truck Bed Coating on them...

Two full cans of truck bed coating on them and reinstalled.

So far the only place the paint has come off is where I drag my feet in and out. Nice thing is, all I have to do is bust out the can and hit it again. Keeps them looking new!

that looks good. But how does that bed liner clean up? From what I hear everything stick to them and they dont clean up very well.

the krylon fusion paint for plastic works good. i have used it on the mud guards on a toyota truck and lasted a long time.

Cleans up fine. I'll snap a picture in the morning if you like... About 10k miles on the truck since I did that.

If you want black....there is a product called forever black that is more of a stain that is absorbed in to the plastic.
