as you guys can see I have a bit of work ahead of me, never really done a restoration before. I did take a dented up banged up 86 mustang gt and fix all the body work and I am a mechanic, but for the most part this truck is pretty solid. i will need to weld floor pan in one day if I keep it for a long time as it has a few tiny holes. The motors a bit dirty and could use a tune up. i dont know if i want to dress it up or make it look stock restored. Might want to throw a cam, intake and carb on it along with long tubes and true duals. I want front disc brakes and 4wd. I looked for 4x4 trucks of this vintage and couldnt find anything and certainly not for $900 running at top notch as this. It has this crazy motor minder vacum gauge already and I want a tach since its a stick. I have dealt with a few trucks older and around the same year and none were in as good of shape as this one. i worked on a 64 that was toast, rusted core support, rotted bead and fenders so i lucked out on this one, very well maintained and documented.
finally looked at the carb, a lil dirty
cleaned it a little bit

7.5x16 is about the same as a 235/75 R16. I would go with a 235/85R16 load range E and you would get better fuel mileage with increased margin on the load capacity.
16" 8lug Ford rims up to 97 fit just fine, rims off GMs may have too much offset, and the center hole is too small for the hubs on your truck. Dodge rims should fit as well.
