Angry HEEELLLLLPPPPPPP!

My heater in my 1997 expedition works in the back but not the front...Brrrrrrrrr !

Do you have the electronic controls or the dials? When you say it does not work is it not blowing air or just cold air?

It blows its just blowin cold air........The back blows warm air though.

Ya..i have same prob. Only getting very little warm air out of the front..the rear is warm but cycles cold while at a stop light. Up front the door is moving..if press the button to go from 90 to 60 i can feel it make a diff so Im dnt think its the blend door...grr.

hope you get ur prob resolved too.

It could be the infamous broken blend door issue, or it could just be the blend door motor. In either case, it is a DIY project only if you have the skills and tools necessary to do the job. That's something you would know better than any of us here.

Alloro you have been a really big help.You helped me with the cop and it WORKED....It runs good.It has an exhaust leak but the muffler guy said it was a bolt broke on manifold not a cheap fix.Alloro do you have any info or illustrations on changing the motor or blend door...

A less technical and just as effective way is by using a through the glove box approach like Heater Treater does.

You may just need to flush your heater cores, that was the problem with my truck.

Flushing my core's in hopes it helps..prob change out the thermostat too.. who knows how old it is.
