Bedliner years compatibility

I tried searching but can only find debates of drop-in vs spray in bedliners... I found a drop in bedliner cheap from an 08-11 truck on CL and was wondering if it'll fit the 99-07 bed - specifically the 01 bed if it's any different. I know the tail gate from the 08-10 trucks fits ours with just a new hinge, so I'm guessing they're at least the same width as a result, no? Any changes of where the wheel wells or anchor points or anything that might get in the way?

I see that tonneau covers are not working across the years - 99-07 are different from 08+... curious if that's the case with bedliners too

The beds are the same from 99 - 2010. so anything in those years will work. The reason for the 08+ tonneau covers being different from the 99 - 07 is because of the trim on top of the tailgate

Too bad we're not close to each other. I'd give you mine. Can't get much cheaper than that. The truck came with it new and I've never found anything to do with it, so I just leave it in there. I'd prefer a spray in.

Anybody around Tuscaloosa, AL want one? PM me.

Another question... found a better looking tailgate at the upull, so I picked that up. That was off a 97 F150. The truck also was a long bed and had a bedliner on it. Are those compatible with the superduty bed? Are the wheel wells and anchor points and whatnot in the same place?

Anyone? Any ideas if the F150 and F250+ bedliners are interchangeable for longbeds?

99 all the way to 2012 bedliners all interchange, although some fit better than others. The oem ford ones are made by duraliner, and the older style ones have a separate piece which sandwiches under the front bed tie downs. Those liners fit loose and wear away the paint under the liner from sliding around towards the back.

The newer duraliners have a hole for the front tie downs and fit much tighter. I also have a truck with a rigidliner and it fits even better.

Some gate liners fit better than others also. The rigidliner one works well on both the old and new gate designs. The older duraliners fit the old gates well, but need special attachment screws which are shouldered. The old duraliners dont fit the new gate at all.

Out of the three designs(which I have on 3 separate trucks, I like the rigidliner the best for fit.

You're talking about beds/bedliners interchanging among superduties, right? A few scratches underneath the bedliner would be the least of my worries, my truck was a work truck and the bed shows it like no other. Even has some holes for what I think was a 5th wheel hitch...

Sweet, thanks! Time to head back there; hope they still have it.

Yes they are. The bed sides taper from the cab to the tailgate. Look at the rail caps when you fill up and you will see what i mean. If wheel wells are in the same spot the liner will be lose at the cab and fit ok at the tailgate.

They are not all interchangable. Some don't fit well at all, some require cutting.

Unfortunately a couple people on here are wrong. I tried numerous bed liners in my 2003 and a lot of them were unsatisfactory fits. Most of the problems I had came from the wheel wells and height of the liner. You'll just have to try them. Also, the plastic tailgate covers aren't interchangable either. The top lip is shaped differently and the screws need to be longer. You'll see, you're just going to have to use the old trial and error method. Trust me, I was searching for a bed liner for about 6 months before I found one, and I found out the hard way that the tailgate cover's arent all interchangable.

All being said, I'm sure there are some that are interchangable, but as far as a definitive statement goes I'd be interested to see who has successfully used a bed liner from a newer bed in their older SD, and who is just guessing without experience.

I have found out that when searching for a cap for my truck the sd sb have a longer bed that flare to the front hereas the 150 sb beds are shorter and don't flare. Therefore I would venture to say that a bedliner from a 150 could be placed in a sd but it would not fit properly.
