The explorer has been having an issue starting after its warmed up.
Starts perfectly fine when its cold. but sometimes when i drive, stop for 1-10 minutes, it takes a long time to get her to start up. Typically 30sec to 1 min of cranking. doesnt seem to have any idle issues or issues running
These symptoms sound fairly consistent with a failing fuel pump. If you have a fuel pressure tester, that would help. Assuming you do not, you could try turning the key to Run for 2 seconds, off for 5 seconds, back to run for 2 seconds, off for 5 seconds, then to Start. If it reliably starts when warm doing this, that further suggests a fuel pump issues. Cycling the key cycles the fuel pump, allowing it to build pressure in the fuel rail.
If that doesn't allow it to start, then you're probably looking at an Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor. This will be separate from the Coolant Temperature Sender that controls the gauge, so just because the temp gauge in the cluster appears accurate doesn't mean the PCM is getting a good temp reading.
