I posted weeks ago about trading for a F350 that needed a new motor. I did a Junk yard motor bc of funds. Picked it up yesterday from the dealer since then these are my issues/concerns. The battery completely drains at night. They did not hook up the exhaust so this thing is louder than all get out/ ghetto fixed that until i can get to the muffler shop. They put some stuff in the motor to help clean it out since it was a junk yard motor so after about 30 miles it started smoking like crazy when high rpms. The idle is crazy high but im thinking that bc of no exhaust. Radio doesnt work. My main concerns are the motor smoking which Im calling the dealer tomorrow to find out if thats normal for the additives that they added. Ive driven the truck about 50 miles and am in love with it even if it does run like crap right now and the high idle is an issue. Im off sunday so Im trying to line up things to do to this truck. Brakes are already planned and the radio. Hopefully making it to the muffler shop next week. Sorry for the run on Im about half asleep

Any time a V-10 is started and moved a short distance, like on your driveway, it will emit blue smoke when it is next started up. If it doesn't smoke driving down the highway you may well be okay.
Mine has done this since brand new, and many others have noted the condition!

Update, driving home today oil pressure bottomed out and oil light came on. Checked oil nothing on the dip stick . Looked around and its leaking oil like crazy. I can't tell where it's coming from. The oil near the manifold at the front and rear of drivers side. But I have no idea where it's coming from
