How many MPG do you think I am loosing if I put a 625 cfm Carb and Dual plane manifold and say FkIt to the FI??
If it is not much, I am going that rout. All this "Extra" wire stuff is starting to bum me out. lol

The "Extra" wire stuff isn't that big of a deal. It should be plug and play once you have the proper computers. Rebuilt computers will run you about $100-$150. The JY ones will be just slightly less, but have no warranty.

I guess I better just get started. I am going to need a truck in a month when It starts snowing.
I am going to yank the SD 302 out. Get the '91 lx long block ready for the truck. Prep the wiring. Then slip it in. Hope it starts. lol

Either computer will work but to use the 5.0HO ECM several pins have to be moved in the EEC connector and if the truck is SD the wires for the MAF meter and sequential injectors will have to be added. You can use the LX harness to make an overlay for these components which will plug into the truck EEC connecor. I have a spreadsheet that details all these changes if necessary.
In terms of flow numbers the Cobra and 5.0 Truck intakes are close, but the lower portion of the truck intake has a much better design with smoother bends and the truck throttlebodys are equal to a 75mm single, so it's pretty much exactly what you need.. no extra parts to buy.
