98 f150 seats

Picked up some buckets out of a 98 f150, hope it doesn't take too much to get them to fit. Please chime in if you have any experience with this or similar swap.

i don't but i will follow along if you post pics of a project. my bench springs are toast and i want to swap to buckets and a console also.

Yeah, that's what I'm doing. Gonna try my hand at making a center console rather then buying a universal console. Once I hit 25 posts I will start my build thread with pics.

I installed mine by using the original mounts and welding 1" x 1" tube between them to make a platform to bolt the seats to, then installed the console over it in the middle. I didn't want to drill new holes in the floor. Also, the new seats sit pretty high, I had to take all the adjustments out from under the new seats and bolt them solid to the frame I made.

Sounds good, I will just have to jump into the project and see what works best. I definitely don't want to be sitting higher then stock.

i got my jc whitney catalog today. $2400 for seats {(00)}. hello pick-a-part? now i wonder if the bench can be rebuilt. i have a semi friend (relative from the crazy side of the family) who does upholstery.
