Let me ask it another way. About how many quarters will fit in a one Quart milk bottle?

I've had a very exciting day.

So, 800, mas o menos?

If he did, then someone has too much time on their hands.

Not all day. Just did it while kicking back watching football. Stacked 'em in 10's. Took about a half hour.

In change

That isn't the half of it. For years I've never given exact change for cash purchases. I've always thrown change received into jars, coffee cans, or in this case an old milk bottle then rolled it up when I'm sitting around. Trouble is, now it costs money to turn it in most places. I've probably got half the cost of a head gasket job on my truck in change....I wonder if Bud would take it?

Steve,

Most credit unions will count it for free. At least Wescom will.

It's the banks who charge ya'......

Trey,

Since you're a single guy, I'm going to wager that you live with someone who has a clothes washer and dryer.

When I was single, I got into the habit of saving quarters for the laundromat.

Old habits die hard, and, like Steve, I still save my change. My grand-kids may start getting coffee cans of change for gifts some day.

Ah now pop.. Don't get ahead of me

I've got one of those 5 gallon water jugs in my room for change.

Steve, if you roll the coins yourself banks will accept them. My credit uninon will roll them for me but they take 1%. Still better than coin star.

But I think coin star waives the fee if you get a gift card.

Steve if you have a business account most banks won't charge for counting. you just treat it as a regular deposit!

$174.50 in quarters? Wow, that is a lot of bus rides! (139 to be exact, with 60 cents left over)

I was talking the other day to the guy who owns what I consider to be the best Italian deli in "these parts".

He mentioned that his bank has now begun charging a fee for depositing cash!

I'd find another bank.......

It's a good thing that BofA backed off their decision to charge for the use of their ATM cards, too.

'Cause I was gonna'!
