I am wondering what the difference is between a PHP rollback to a preferred strategy and the PHP mild performance flash that Swamps advertises on their 58V FICM.

When we talk about rollback it's a PCM strategy NOT a FICM strategy although the FICM tuning may be based on an older FICM flash as well.
AFAIK there is no differene in the mild performance flash that PHP offers to the general public and what they put on the Swamps FICM's
What is the typical cost to get ur FICM programmed.??
Check their website for programming costs as it varies on whether you get it done remotely or locally. I would URGE you to get your truck live tuned by Bill if at all possible. There is NOTHING like hands on tweaking by a master.
Unless his shop is in Alabama then live tuning is out of the question. But I wood send him my FICM an a list of the mods I have done so he would have an idea of what is on my truck.

That is ur PCM Strategy. The way I read on the website is that they program ur FICM according to ur PCM/ECM strategy. That's how I took it. But I could be wrong.
OK, I'm beginning to get some of this. So, when I hook up my SCT and get the strategy "VXCF4DC" is that a FICM flash or PCM strategy?
That's the PCM strategy. The SCT won't affect anything in the FICM. Also, the VXCF4 strategy is a very good one for the 05 and up trucks and not one that you want to change however I would recommend that you get the FICM reflashed to a less aggressive or non-inductive heat strategy that will greatly prolong it's life and improve mileage and throttle response. This is what the PHP FICM flash does and the dealer can not do without reflashing the PCM at the same time.

That is great to hear. I was considering going to the dealer for a FICM reflash, but didn't want to lose the CF4 strategy. I did have to replace my FICM and it's now operating as it should. I tried the resolder with no improvement and then later read that Swamps core refund is considerably less on FICM's that have been resoldered. I am a bit hesitant to pick up Swamps 58V with PHP tuning as my FICM is now good, but due to the history of these things failing, I'm torn. Screw with a good thing to make it better or leave it alone and fix it when it does finally fail?

You can send your FICM to PHP to have it tuned or get on the list for their remote tuner OR you can get the Swamps FICM and sell yours for a decent price. The remote tuner is by far the least expensive of all the options mentioned but you might be waiting a while.

The remote tuner is not a bad idea, I'm a member of PHP forums and have been reading over there about it and yeah, the wait is insane for that.
I'd rahter not send the FICM to PHP as this is my DD.
If I go with Swamps, I'll get the 58V and PHP tune then send the FICM to them for the $350 core charge. I don't think I'd be able to sell a good FICM for that price....
