Honestly Dee I don't use anybody in the area.. Not because there aren't any good shops...I'm sure there are...I just don't know who they are.
I will say that I've heard good things about Don's @ 2947 Obispo in Signal Hill though I've never used them personally. It's not a Ford-specific shop but I don't know if that's necessary for your problem.
You could always tackle it yourself, with a little help from FTE
Welcome to the Excursion jungle Daz. Excusions and noisy, loose front ends - you're in good company.
haha this is my 2nd Excursion i've owned. the first one was also lifted. rode like a tank and sounded like one. ended up selling it because of the infamous front end 4x4 clicking sound. after spending $800 bucks for all new brakes all around only to drive it home and still have that annoying sound..well lets just say the wife said" sell the d***m truck or make peace with the dogs because your going to be sleeping in the dog house for awhile" lol.......
after doing some searching after buying this Excursion. found out it might be the 4x4 hub. funny how both of the Excursions has the same clicking sound when driving down the road lol...hence my search for a FORD guru to help me out.

If youre ever in my area I'd be happy to give you a hand. I'm no expert, but I can usually figure things out with a combination of FTE, Google, Youtube, and a rubber mallet.

thanks for the great info! i went out to my EX tonight and checked if i can turn those autolocks to the "lock" or "auto"..driver side was easy to do by hand. the passenger required me to use a pipe wrench to help it to loosen it up. turns out that side was in the mid point from the lock position to the auto position. so i figured that might be why that side was clicking when i was driving. i couldnt test drive tonight cause we got about 2 other cars parked behind my EX lol and i dont feel like moving them all. anyways ill keep you guys posted if this solved my problem when i test it out in the morning
