Drove my truck 14 miles with the pedal on the floor and was curious if that could hurt the engine any and if not how can I take the governer off. And my truck is an 08 f250 with a 6.4 diesel.

14 miles???? little late to start worrying now. the engine is probably still o.k., but your drivers license probably won't be for long. But if you insist, then yes, a tuner is the only way to change that.
You will never hurt the engine running at full power for extended periods of time; this is what they are designed to do. But these trucks are a bit tipsy and not meant for high speed operation.
Cheapteen, is that handle a reflection of your age? If so, how did you manage to get in an adult rated truck? I don't know where you were driving 97 MPH for 14 miles but I hope it was five and a half laps on the track at Talladega. If you hic cup there the only one you take out is you. If you hic cup at 97 MPH on a public highway you may take some meaningful member of society with you. I can only hope that no one on this forum says anything to encourage your stated behavior or to give you the positive attention you seem to be seeking.
I'm actualy just turned 18 and I test gas lines. Work an average of 75 hours a week. And this wasn't completly organized but there was only one other person on the road and that was the guy passing me. It was a long farm to market road at 4 in the morning. And the closest I can get to a smooth surface to test my trucks on is an airport runway, but I was told that is illegal.
And other than that instance, I Normaly drive wherever my rpm's are right for fuel mileage. Which is around 65 I think but I need to check further into it.
