Rebuild Questions

Block ,crank, camshaft, heads at the shop being cleaned, polished and hoaned. I have a couple questions for when I start putting things back together. I deleted the stock EGR cooler about 40000 miles ago, now that I will have a fresh engine should I install a Bullet Proof EGR cooler and allow the EGR to operate as intended or just keep it out of the equation?
Second, I know I need to replace the head bolts and rocker arm bolts, do the case bolts need to be replaced or can they be reused?

AFAIK all the bolts can be reused except the headbolts and torsional damper bolts, which are torque to yield.

A few considerations on the EGR would be emission inspections in your area now and in the future. Resale value, enviromental impact and just being legal vs dumping exhaust gasses back in your intake, reducing power and sooting up your engine. Heck of a choice.
I have also read a couple of different places this may be the last generation of Diesel we can go "all out" on as far as modding. I guess if you plan on keeping it a long time and performance is top priority and inspections aren't an issue leave it off. If you can't say yes to all three of those, hello Bullet Proof.

I do love the truck, can't say I am thrilled by all that I have had to do to the engine, but I love the truck. I figure all that I have learned on this site and by doing all that work my self I will be keeping it. Given the choice of "legal" vs. all of the negative impact to the engine I will save the money and keep it off.

Thanks again for the info and opinions. keep up the good work of helping poor uninformed 6.0 owners like me stay running.
