I just bought a 16 XLT EL, and the key fob has the remote start button but it doesn't work (lock, remote start twice). Any idea why I'd have the remote start key but not remote start in my vehicle? I can't find the setting in the instrument cluster display either... help!

also, i've read a lot of ford vehicles have the module and remote start antenna, but remote start just needs to be enabled with forscan (or stealership), maybe this is my case?

this would be really convenient to have when the summer temps get here.

Did you look up the original window sticker to see if it included remote start on the options? You can also go through the vehicle menu and look for remote start settings and see what it's set as.
