rusty frame repair
im going to be replacing a cab corner on my ext cab and while i have the bed off i would like to do something about the frame. all of the undercoating is peeling off so i would like to coat it with something. ive read about some of the convertors but they sound like they can be pretty expensive. my question is can i use a sealer primer? i dont really care what it looks like. i just want to try and get the rust under control.

Ive used a few of them, POR15 works great but is $$$$ as hell, eastwoods system isnt to bad but still isnt cheap. Last time I did it I removed all the heavy rust scale with wire brushes in a drill and then coated it with rustoleums spray converter. Then I coated it 2x with satin black. very little rust returned and it was only surface at that.
