sounds like the old engine mite be well worn. what brand of oil have you been using & how long have you had the truck? also how many miles have you put on it in the time you have owned it
That sounds normal to me, actually really good considering the mileage though i might expect higher with that thick oil if it had less miles.
The oil pressure is usually higher at start up then drops when the engine heats up and the oil pump doesn't spin as fast at idle but the passages are still the same size so its obviously going to drop a lot there, though at idle it doesn't need as much pressure either.
