New guy here with a ?

New to the forum and just wanted to Say hello.

I haven't had the need to join a forum because i have been able to find everything i've needed by just searching the web but i'm in need of some help

Here is waht i have
1997 Ford F150 Single cab Long Bed 4x4 Off Road package
4.6l with auto trans
Summit headers
Flowmaster exhaust
6" Fabtech Lift on mud terrains



I love the truck and dont want to get rid of it but i need to get a crew cab truck.So my ? is about cab swaps.What will swap over?
1997-2003 Crew cab and 4 1/2' bed?
1997-2003 ext cab and 6' bed?

I dont know if the cabs will swap over or not and what till swap over on my chassis

I'm pretty sure they will. I want to say the chassis are all the same. The body mounts themselves that are welded to the frame may not however. If you can weld you could possibly fab up any needed brackets with angle iron after you mount the front. I know from the front bumper back to behind the doors it WILL fit. Now the two rearmost mounts I do not know but I know it would be quite easy to fab those two up with just plate and angle stock.

thanks for the help . ended up selling it to buy a newer truck. guy bought it the first day listed for my asking price $4500

I work at a local ford dealer in central ky. since having recall 11S21 come out and racking up all these trucks i've noticed that the frames between the Super Cabs to the Reg. Cab, is longer. the "drop down" section of the frame that runs under the kick pannel it the part that I'm talking about. I'll double check tomorrow at work but I'm very sure about this. Hope everything will work out.
