Crew Cab Swap?

I have a 84 f-250 4x4 reg cab long bed that I would like to make into a crew cab. Does anyone know if a crew cab will fit on my frame (with some reasonable modifications of course). I would like to keep the same wheelbase and just shorten the bed to fit.

To keep your frame you would probably have to do some kind of modified body lift since the frame rails are higher under the bed, which is where the longer cab would sit.

Thanks for the info. I already have a 3 inch body lift, do you have any idea if I'll need more?

I guess you would just have to lay it out and see where you end up with the front and rear cab mounts, might need 4" in front and none in the rear. But anything over 3" might not be the way to go. Otherwise anything else I can think of will result in a longer wheelbase.

Sounds like it might be easier (and better) to swap my axles and running gear under a crew cab body and frame. Then shorten the bed like I'm wanting to.
