Buy that Truck or I will. It is too nice a vehicle to just let go, its the same as mine except a year older. I had mine freshly rebuilt, cost 6,800 dollars....dont hesitate, I didnt and it has served me faithfully for the past 3 years now. THe pyro gauge method you mentioned is the best way to get it done.
And for the pyro the best place to put it is drill into the manifold right behind cylinder #8 and tap it and I'm pretty sure that's the best place to put it.... When I buy mine that's where its going
I went and looked at it. It ran well and the body was in good shape. The tank selector switching unit doesn't work. He did have a Pyro installed but it stopped working and he hasn't fixed it yet. The clutch seemed to make a little noise when starting out in second it was almost like a cluck, but when shifting into third and fourth it worked flawlessly. The ride was good. It had good pickup and go. I would have liked to test the 4 wheel drive but as I stated before the front driveshaft isn't installed due to needing new U Joints. Everything else seemed good to go.
I am attempting to conjure up the money (a little difficult for military with 4 kids lol). He is willing to hold it for as long as I need so that is good.
