Hey guys, I just bought a new to me 2008 F250 Crew Cab 4x4 with the V10. It had a dealer installed lift and I had them swap it back to stock. They did, and everything is great but how do I tell if they used the springs from a F250 or 350? It seems to ride rougher than I thought it should, compared to other 250s I had driven. Is there more springs in the rear pack on a 350 that I could compare to? Any other way to verify that they did what they said?
The spring sets available on the F250 and F350 are identical. So that won't help you, but what you need to know is whether they are stock springs or lift kit springs. You can do that by checking the specifications document for your truck, which has the dimensions of the various spring packs.
You can find the spec sheet links in the Superduty tech folder sticky thread.
Thanks for the replies guys but I dont think I explained it very clearly. I can tell the difference between a lift and stock suspension components. The dealer took off the lift and swapped it for the stock suspension on another truck. I want to know how I can tell if they swapped it with a F250 or an F350. Or are they the same suspension components? It feels like it rides rough like I would imagine an F350 rides but if they use the same springs then it must all be in my head. For comparison I drove my dads 2006 F250 and it seemed to ride differently.

You are probably right. Air pressure and load rating of the tire make all the difference. For comparison sake...my door sticker says to air up the tires to 55 psi front and 50 psi rear. When I do that my ride is quite smooth, a lot like you would expect from a F250 truck. However, when I air the tires up to 80 psi like an E rated tire can handle, then my truck rides like a tank.
My wife has D rated tires on her truck right now and the ride is noticeably softer. We are enjoying it while we can because when it's time for a new set we are going with E rated tires like originally equipped.
Oh yeah....the others are correct about the springs. F250 and F350 SRW springs are the same.

Reason: typo
Good info guys. One more question though. If the front and rear springs are the same for the 250 and the 350, does the rear spring pack sit on a taller block? My truck seems too tall for a stock 250. Here is a pic of the rear spring pack and the block it sits on. It's about 4" tall but I haven't measured yet. What do you think. Also, do the front coils measure and sit the same height on the 250 and 350?
Dang. I thought something was up. So if I assume they swapped everything front and rear off of a 350 can I just change the two rear blocks or will the front be too high? Are the front coils interchangeable?
The rear blocks are interchangeable, but I have never heard anything about the front being any different, which is something that has always bounced around in my mind. You would think that if the rear was 2" higher the front would be too. But I've never heard anything about that.
