Good info guys. One more question though. If the front and rear springs are the same for the 250 and the 350, does the rear spring pack sit on a taller block? My truck seems too tall for a stock 250. Here is a pic of the rear spring pack and the block it sits on. It's about 4" tall but I haven't measured yet. What do you think. Also, do the front coils measure and sit the same height on the 250 and 350?
In the early model year(s) some 250s came with 4" rear blocks (my 99 came with 4") but I have not heard of 08s coming that way. Most 250s have 2" rear blocks. They could be 350 blocks added when the lift was done.
The rear blocks are interchangeable, but I have never heard anything about the front being any different, which is something that has always bounced around in my mind. You would think that if the rear was 2" higher the front would be too. But I've never heard anything about that.
I've been wondering the same thing. It has the correct wheels and tires that came stock on the 250 but they look a little out of place which got me thinking about all this in the first place. The front looks a little higher than it should as well. Maybe someone who knows will chime in.
The only difference in the front coils will be the rating unless someone has put spacers in it to level it. The only difference in the coils will be the rating. Different coils had different ratings according to the equipment ordered on the truck such as the Snow Plow Prep package, the Heavy Service Front Suspension Package, etc. With the higher rated coils, the truck will most likely sit a little higher in the front than usual.
As far as I know, on the 2008 F-250s the standard 2" blocks were the only ones that came on it. If it had the Camper Package, it would have had the auxiliary rear springs, or as some refer to them "overloads". Easy way to find out exactly how the truck was equipped is to go to this thread:https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/8...l-sticker.html
Follow the instructions in the thread, enter your VIN, and you should be able to download a copy of the original window sticker.
Ok, I'm figuring out what I have. I have the 4" rear blocks, so it must have been from an f350. I am confused about the front. My door tag says 5200 gvwr and according to the tag on the front coils, they are 5200lb springs. I'm pretty sure there is no leveling kit on it as there is only a large poly or rubber isolator on top f the spring. T
The truck sits pretty level so if I put the 2" blocks in back I'm afraid it wont have any rake as the front will probably be higher than the back. The truck came with the camper package but not the plow package. Are 5200lb springs considered stiff? My truck is definatley higher than other 250s I see around town. Maybe I should go for the 4800 or 4400 front coils?
Also, I came across a complete take off suspension from a 2011 F250 with only 10k miles for a couple hundred bucks. Are the rear leafs interchangeable? I have read that they 2011s ride pretty well. Maybe I should swap it all.
Dude, just leave it alone; 2 inches of block and 400#s up front isn't going to drastically alter the ride of the truck. My truck has 6000# springs, my dad's has 5200#s, and I can't tell a big enough difference in "ride quality" between the two to justify spending a single dollar to change it out. If anything, spend your money on adjustable shocks.
On a 2008, the rear springs might work, they started the longer ones that year, and a guy here swapped 2008s for 2011s, but since he'd already added new hangers to add the 08s, I don't know if he matches the factory distance between the hangers.

Im more interested in the ride height. right now with the blocks in back and the springs it has it looks too tall. I want to keep the stock tire size, 275/70/18 but it looks almost like it has a small lift with tires that dont fill up the space right.
Heres a pic i just took. Just seems too tall for the stock tires.
There's was a half inch difference between my 6000# and my dad's 5200# springs, and now they're equal with my front end replacement, so it took a couple hundred pounds hung 2 feet in front of the axle to drop a half inch. As light as your front end is, I wouldn't expect a ton of difference dropping a few hundred # of spring capacity on the front end, not more than an inch probably. Stock coil springs aren't progressive (or at least they weren't through 2007), so they don't drop faster with less weight on the top end like an aftermarket spring will, the only thing that will drop the front end significantly is weight, or a shorter spring.
