1960 f100 conversion update
ok guys I finally got some pics to load, they are in my album, this is the 1960 f100 that I mounted on a 1998 ford ranger 4x4 frame for my daughter, some of you said it couldnt be done or shouldnt be done but I love a challange so I did it, we have driven it over 700 miles so far and it was working fine until this past weekend and it caught some kind of bug, I figure it will always be some little thing that needs attention. you guys check it out and let me know what you think!

Congrats. Truck looks good! What motor is in it? When I first read about this swap, I thought the Ranger suspension might be a little week for fridge body. How does it ride? There has been a lot of talk on here about frame swaps lately, looks like it worked out well for you and your daughter. Enjoy!

the ride is great, especially compared to the 60s, the fram on the ranger was 1/2" narrower than the 60 and the wheel to wheel width was 3" narrower so I used 2" wheel spacers all the way around, the suspension seams to be fine but i do need to put new shocks on all four corners. I did check the differance between the frame to ground with the ranger body compared to the 60 body and the 60 sets 3/4" higher mabe because the ranger was an extended cab it weighed more?
