would a 460 engine with a/c have a different power steering bracket than a non a/c equiped engine? Same with/without A/C ~ Assuming this is a 1978/79 F100/350 460.
My truck is a 78 F150 4x4. The power steering pump has a plastic resourviour and it adjusts by loosening the 3 bolts on the bracket and turning the adjustment screw. The reason I ask is the placement on the power steering bracket for the a/c belt idler pulley. At this time that is my only x factor on making my system work like it was meant too. I was working off of pictures of ones and made a spacer and bought a pulley which is the same diameter as the upper a/c idler pulley. My lower pulley is too far to the passenger side to engage the belt. Trying to figure out why?
