i just bought a 120v idm for my 95 7.3 and the one thats in it is only 100v so is there any thing special i need to do before running the 120v idm? or can i just plug it in with no worries? plz let me know guys i dont want to damage my truck or myself thanks for any help!

thank ya sir i apreciate it! but i have one more question if ya dont mind me asking what about the 140v idm is it the same way just plug it in and be on your wayy? sorry i dont know much about the idm stuff i just know what it does and how it works im trying to learn
Either one will just plug in and go. They just change the voltage used to fire the injector solenoids (100V, 120V, 140V) There is a mod that can be performed by opening up the IDM and replacing a resistor that will effectively mod your existing IDM100 to a 140V IDM. But if you have a 120V IDM, you just plug it in and go. It is debatable whether it makes much difference though.
