upsizing tires

Stock tires are 235/85-16. What are the next larger tire sizes that fit on the stock rim? I think they were a 265 and 285 series tire. Not looking to shim the bumper so no 315 series tires.

235s kinda look weird on a cc/lb

I'm running 285's and I know a couple other guys on here are as well. I wouldn't go any bigger than that

same size here, but I did have to shim my bumper since they rubbed ever so slightly.

I have 285/75/16's on mine as well (although not on the stock rims as these are 16x8's). No rubbing issues either.

285/75/16 on 16x8 wheels. Had to trim the inside of the front bumper just a little to make sure it did not rub but no shimming needed and bumper looks un changed unless you really look hard.

I haven't changed the calibration on the speedometer on mine, but I am guessing that it was done before I got the truck. I would sure think you would need to recalibrate it. It's pretty easily done without the use of any special tools.

Got 285/75-16's on mine with 16x8 wheels, 2wd and no problems with the bumper at all. My speedo is about 3mph off at 55 and 4 mph off at 70. (confirmed with GPS)

This pic was with a 3" body lift on it, but stock height there's no problems fitting except at full steering lock it rubs the radius arms a little.
