The other day I was driving down the road using the cruise control, a car pulled out in front of me so I hit the brakes and the cruise control cut off. then when i pressed resume nothing happened and it hasnt worked since then. I checked the fuses and thats not the problem. Any ideas what could be wrong

the 7.3 uses a electronic cut out switch on the end of the m/c if I recall. I would start there, you may have blown the switch when you mashed the brakes
I fixed it. The clip that holds the end of the cruise control cable where it connects to the actual throtle cable had come lose. Just had to clip it back in.
