that turbo sure keeps things clean.its like all set in the back.you still look N/A for crying out loud lol.thats a nice plus by itself, keeping everything easy to work on.
I was wondering if anyone knew what parts on turbo kits usually go bad.... Other than the turbo itself... I'm asking because I when I order my turbo kit I want a couple extra parts
it looks pretty slick on how it all goes together, i would prefer a wastegaited set up, but im looking at a used set up, i like the way the hypermax system goes together though, like you said 250, keeps things easy to work on
I have heard great things about hypermax, but I would go wastegated. Its better all around, and the boost you will make is limited by your EGT's. The most I have heard of folks getting to was 10-11 psi and then the EGT's got too hot. You could always get a intercooler, but thats more $$$.
Either way, I think you would be happy though.
Note: a complete hypermax kit just sold on ebay for $510.
In the directions it says dont excede 13psi or 1300 on the pyro. With this turbo glow plugs and injectors are no issue. The intake elbow comes off with 2 3/8 bolts and a hose clamp.
id rather go with a wastegaited turbo for those reasons, but this ones what i found, there are not too many idi's around here. i do think 1000 is too steep for this kit though, a new one is just a hair under 2 grand
I only asked because I plan on throwing in head studs so I plan on almost maxing out the waste gate and with a set of bb code injectors and a tuned up ip
