Seems to me the scangauge is the way to go a lot of you are using it and like it so that says alot to me looking to buy something like that How hard is the installation? Is it a plug and play type system?
Setting up the codes for the X-gauges might get you in trouble. Just depends on how good you are at that type of thing. AE you don't have to worry about all that.
For real trouble shooting a 6.0L the AE would be a fantastic program to have.
That is the direction I will go for an upgraded system.
Don't get me wrong, I love the SGII. Very easy to use and install. And the cost is easy on the pocket book.
Entering Xgauges get's easier after you do a few. ( you have to enter these, unless you pick one up from Bullet Proof Diesel, I think they sell SGII with some Xgauges already installed, not sure which ones though.) Just need to be very accurate on the codes when entering.
