Wheel fit?
I understand that I could only use 16" or 16.5" wheels on my 1979 F-250. But would a 15"x10" with only a 2.5" backspacing work? I was thinking it might because of the little amount of backspacing?? Thanks in advance.

If I'm not mistaken, the brake calipers are what determine that 15's can't fit, not the tire rubbing on anything. I think the 250s have larger calipers that won't fit inside a 15" rim.
Could be mistaken though as I only have 2 f150s.

I have not been able to find a 15" wheel that will fit on a F250 without modification to the brake calipers. The dual piston calipers are the problem, they will scrub the inside of the wheel. The previous owner of my truck ground the calipers down to get the 15" wheels to fit and ground to much off. The retainer spring won't stay in now. I added 1/4" thick spacers but still had to grind some off of the calipers. I would not recommend putting the 15" wheels on. If you do find some 15" wheels that will work let us know. I have even looked for after market calipers that could be installed to allow 15" wheels to be installed.
