Ok this is gonna sound extremely stupid but, when I have went to the pump the last two times it takes forever and i can't pull it and lock it. I pull it then it clicks like it is full I have tried both tanks the time before it started doing this i filled up the rear no problem then filled up the front the next time and it was doing this. Then tonight i was putting it in the rear and was doing the same thing the front did. Could there be a problem with my fill hoses, I looked they aren't kinked, or what IDK???????????????????????
Ford vent hoses are to small to start with, and any small kink or anything will give you those silly problems. I have the same problems once in a while with my motorhome.
I had good luck blowing air back though the vent holes and cleaning them out. IIRC some guys pull the neck apart and pull the vent hose out and run it that way.
If you have issues until you can fix it find a pump that tilts the truck to the right of run the rear tire on a 2x4 when fueling
Had this a few years ago, when I would pull the cap I got a huge rush of air, more than normal, vent was bad and the vacume was collapsing the hose a bit giving it that flat sopt for the fuel to slow up and trigger the pump to stop.
