Wow, good to know minimal damage. Last month I hit a deer north of casper,WY doing 75 on I-25 late at night. If I was in my truck it would of been a different story but was in my work van (caravan) do a special overnite delivery favor for my brother. Anway, the deer messed up the hood and left fender, took out the left headlight and worse of all, broke the plastic on the cheap radiator these thing have. Had to rent a suburban to complete the delivery and then am still rebuilding the front end of the van. If I had my F250 probably wiped off the blood and kept going.
yep, may have only needed to bend the bumper back. Fortunately my bumper is already bent but I'm thinking I may get a estimate anyhow and then call the insurance company and see if it's even worth trying to collect on and see if maybe I can at least get a "REAL" bumper out of it, but we'll see.
What do you guys think?
You guys might think this is BS but i have those cheap little deer/wildlife whistlers on my vehicle. I have seen many deer on the side of the road looking but never had one jump out at me.
I am a believer in those whistlers.
They work for some but I'm a firm believer in having running fog lights. Something about the yellow or amber color seems to scare them off. This is my first time whacking one and go figure, I don't have fog lights on the truck
As soon as you described the fat deer I went into a panic! I hadn't seen Monty all night! Thank God he was sleeping in bed with one of the kids! Don't scare me like that!
Jim...& fat Monty
