I want to do the AUX input with my factory CD player. Where did you get the input? Can you post some pics of it before install and tell me where it hooks up on the factory deck?
Nice AUX input placement! What CD deck did you use?

The CD player was one out of a 97 F-150. Its just a one disc one, I couldve gotten an aftermarket one but dont like the looks of the aftermarket ones. The AUX input is something I picked up from radio shack for $4.95. The truck was already set up with an FM transmitter for the dvd player so I wired it into that. I really like it to only have $5 into an iPod hook up.
Sweet Truck!
I love the two tone look...Good luck with it....Let the mods begin!
Thanks man, you have a pretty slick excursion as well! Only real mods that I can afford right now is some towing mirrors. I towed a car yesterday and absolutely hated the mirrors I have. Also, looks like im going to need a good steering stabilizer. Here's some cars I towed yesterday. I wanted to test the truck out before I headed to Kansas so asked my buddy if we could trailer his vehicles yesterday to put some miles on the excursion running down the interstate. It pulled the truck and car good and was about a 150 mile round trip mixed with a little city driving.

I honestly wished I could help you out, but I didnt trace the wires and where they went to. But I took my overhead console down to examine the DVD player set up and realized that they wired in a male end that was tied into the FM transmitter and im assuming the factory radio somewhere. So I took the male end off and ran my wire through my headliner down through the a-pillar and across to where I installed the AUX input. I wished I wouldve taken some photos but it was 100 degrees out the day I did it and I just wanted to get it done.
So just drove the Excursion from KY all the way to Wichita, KS and it did great. I loved it. First photo is the night before I left KY. There was a beautiful sunset so I decided to stop and take a picture. Then the picture my wife took with the Saint Louis Arch in the back ground. Then the last few pictures are of the truck out in KS.
