Original color?
Anybody know what the factory color is on the NP435? While I have mine out I think I'm going to go through it and maybe repaint it. I think it is original but it's 32 years old. It kind of looks like it is just primer red and has some block letters on it painted in white. Does this sound like the factory look?

Transmissions were not painted...bare metal.
If you see a painted trans case, it will prolly be either Bell Telephone Green or a shade of red. Both colors were used by trans shops after the trans' were rebuilt.
