Why? Do you want spark plug dents on the inside of your hood.

I know, the modular motors are known for blowing out spark plugs from the head.

It'd be a complete driveline swap. None of the stock transmissions in a Bronco will bolt to the modular mills. And this is probably why you won't find too many who have done it. Its a lot of fab and electrical work for a project that is just as easily accomplished with a motor/trans setup that will swap with a lot less work. Besides that, the 4.9 I6 and the 5.8 V8 are fine power plants for the Bronco that were available in these trucks for a long time.

It might be easier to get a frame with the drive train you want and shorten it to set the Bronco body on. Been done in the classic Mustang world several times.

That'd be easier and better so he won't do it.

Sometimes they blow even after it's done right. It's RARE but it happens.

Maybe those crazy Cali swap laws are preventing him from swapping in the IDI.

I didn't think about that, it's hard to think like a communist when you're not used to it.

I would say that holes in the piston walls of the diesel from cavitation are more common than blown-out spark plugs in a Triton.

Not in MY experience.

And the electrolysis/cavitation was only in the 7.3 IDI and PowerStroke, more so in the IDI.
