haha, well im glad to be part of such an accomplishment. my next question though, how are you supposed to remove the passenger side bolt?? the seat only moves on the drivers side and the passenger side is the pivot point.
There should be a "wire" going from the drivers side to the passenger side to undo the catch there.. The wire may be off, so look on the inside of the track and see if you can find "L" shaped lever and give it a pull towards the middle of the truck, it's fairly hard to pull so keep trying, with it pulled you should be able to slide the seat forward.. It might help to have help, as it is hard to pull the lever and push the seat at the same time...

Youre saying that if i pull the lever on the drivers side, itll move the passenger side too?
It's supposed to, but if the wire is disconnected or broke you will have to look for the lever the wire attaches to on the passenger side (inside) to get the passenger side of the seat to move..
i hate to keep derailin the thread, but how did he get taken care of so quickly? is there a way to alert admin for spammers? recognizing the spam is the hard part, if i knew of a place to go that would be the easy part!

Upper right hand corner of each post is two red buttons, the heart one is for reps the one with " ! " if for reporting a bad post be it spam or what ever..

It must be disconnected then, because this is news to me. But thank you kindly. +Rep for you.
Sometimes the wire is still connected and you just have to reach under the passenger seat and pull it forward to release the right side latch.
I know mine is this way.

Yeah over time those cables will stretch, and then the lever on the drivers side wont pull the pass latch far enough to free it. Ive also seen where the slide on the pass side is frozen up, even though the latch still works. Either way, no the pass side is not a pivot, the whole seat should slide back and forward evenly on both sides.
Up here in the rust belt it's also common for the seat tracks to rust together and if that's the case liberally apply some WD40 or whatever, pull the lever and try to force the seat back and forth. May help to have another person work the passenger side while the first holds the lever too.
Okay well thank you to everyone that said anything, I got the seat to move back and forth (the wire was disconnected from the passenger side and was just hanging under the seat) then I unbolted everything on the back side, even the seatbelts, and removed the seat with great success. Got all the farm dirt from the PO vacuumed up, and went to see about bolting the 40-20-40s in...then realized that there arent any holes predrilled in the floor of my truck. would anyone here say that its okay to drill holes, put a big washer on the bottom (for safety purposes, because if i got in an accident i wouldnt want the bolt ripping through the floor) and a nut on it and call it good?
I'd say "Yes, it's fine."
As long as the seat belt tabs bolt back into their reinforced anchor points.
See thats what I was thinking. But my buddy and I were going through the "whats the worst that could happen" ideas, and decided that just a bolt and nut wouldnt work out. but if we put some big washers under the cab it would work. Ill have to see if the tabs end up in the right spot still. Im getting that seat in there whether the truck wants me to or not darn it!
as long as it came out of a similar year truck it should be pretty much bolt in, you may have to drill one or two holes to get every thing properly bolted down but you should be ok...just try to match colors as best as you can

If you are gonna go the washer/bolt idea....I'd advise some welding to be done on them....you know...Extra support, no wiggle room, etc....Can't be tooooo safe....
